Alyssa is prepared for Monday

She even wrote instructions on her bed. If you look closely, she wrote what she wants for lunch not realizing it's permanent marker and will be eating the SAME thing everyday now!!!! EEEERRR (note to self, painting the bedroom furniture black)

Valentines Day

Wow.......am I ever glad that's over. Being on a diet I really picked the wrong day to be staying away from chocolates. I even sent my girls downstairs to hop all over the living room and gobble their assorted candies so I wouldn't be tempted to have a few bites even if already bitten or slobber soaked! It doesn't matter to me. Sugar is MY addiction. Judging from my kids, their on the same road their sugar addiction is the equivalent to us boozing it up! (Not that I EVER did that in my day) They seem to forget what they're doing and black out. It has to be the whole cause without reason because I know they're not just dropping those wrappers and running around like they've lost all good sense. I mean c'mon! It makes them brave enough to say "NO! I don't want to!" And God knows what else could fall out of their mouths! Then the nerve of them to look as if their scared! Just because you've threatened them within an inch of their lives doesn't mean that's why they look like Freddy Kruger just jumped out! It's that torn thought of "Oh my God how will I get more junk" and "I'm going to die if she doesn't let me have more right now!". All I can say is "Thanks Hallmark!" I enjoyed cleaning my carpet of red candy and little valentines from classmates as I chased 5 girls around begging for help. You can bet your ass I will be coming up with something better for Easter!!!

Really?

This wouldn't be a bad place to keep all the kids out of trouble but I don't have enough treadmills to keep them all busy. Besides, they just gang up and help each other but ONLY in times of trouble.....for them!!

I thought it was a break....but just more to chit chat about

Well, it's been a bit since I've been here to open my life to the world only because I've been so busy with all the same things and some new. Most of you know I did get custody of my last little blessing and I'm about to embark on a divorce. It's all good.....it's been a long and rough road but worth all the blessing on the way. I'm hoping to open some new doors on the issues and needs of the next round of life I am looking forward to experiences. I suppose this new set of REAL LIFE in the day of ........well, that's about all I can say about it. It's just REAL LIFE. It's got to be for a reason and at times I wonder about shame but I do believe it's so I, brutally honest Lana, will tell the truth and shed some light because again, I feel as if I'm alone and this all new.....but it's not. Someone out there has been here, done this and bought the t-shirt. I just have to talk about it and again I'm not sure anyone wants to hear, but I do know some need to know.

Life has been pretty peaceful as far as my home with the kids. On the same day I got custody of the baby my husband moved out. Of course there are 2 sides to the story but I don't need to dwelve into any of that. I'd like to keep life peaceful. That's still a "work in progress"....lol... but worth any extra support with so many kids and the hopes in teaching them the same.

Holidays came and went with a lots of changes and a little experimenting on what will work best for the girls and I. We lost our dog of 12 years, Diva and let our 5 sugar gliders go to a good home where someone would care for them more than we could. With all going on and more to the plate I had to make decisions that would enable me to continue such long days and nights and allow for time for play with the kids. The first step was to start going thru all the boxes and extras I had from Mom's passing, more people in the home and God knows what all.
